Emmy, Tony and Grammy Award winning actress Rachel Bay Jones currently stars in Chuck Lorre’s “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage,” which premiered this fall on CBS.
She can be seen starring in the SXSW Grand Jury prize-winning indie film “Bob Trevino Likes It,” currently streaming on Hulu.
Jones is best known for originating the role of 'Heidi Hansen' in the Original Broadway Cast of Dear Evan Hansen, and received a Tony Award, Emmy Award, Grammy Award, Lucille Lortel Award and Drama League Nomination for her performance.
Jones’ additional Broadway credits include “Pippin,” “Hair” and “Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown.”
Her Off-Broadway and Regional/National Tour credits include “Next To Normal” (Kennedy Center), “Dear Evan Hansen” at Second Stage (Drama Desk Nomination), “First Daughter Suite” at The Public Theater, “Hello Again,” “A Christmas Story,” “Sylvia” and “The King and I.”
In film, Jones has starred in "Ben Is Back" opposite Julia Roberts and in "Critical Thinking," directed by and opposite John Leguizamo, and will soon be seen in the independent film "Rise & Shine."
On television, Jones has appeared on NBC's "Law & Order: SVU," ABC's "Grey's Anatomy," "The Family," and the FX series “Louie."
She also had recurring roles on "Young Sheldon," "The Good Doctor," "The United States of Al," "Panic," "Why Women Kill," "Modern Family" and "God Friended Me.”
